Booty, Booties and Bags

Booty
I go to a weekly parents' craft group, where recently we have been making softies for a tombola to raise money for the Sussex Air Ambulance.  When we collected up our makes be realised we had quite a booty, which included teddies, dinosaurs, hippos, finger puppets, monsters, elephants and hankies.

Wish them well on their exciting journey to their new homes!

Booties
Ages ago I designed some "cut and sew" baby bootie fabric. I finally got around to making the first one up last night - "Bumblebee".  They are made from 100% organic cotton and are seam free. They can be reversed if the baby is not in a "bee mood" and are then plain white.

Bags
I was in desperate need of a little bag for keeping my keys, purse and phone in.  I decided to make a Japanese Knot Bag as they are simple to make out of a couple of fat quarters.  For this one I used my own "Paws" design.

You pop your things inside and then pass the longer handle through the shorter one to close (knot). You can then slip it over your wrist or just hold the end.  (I've a "little girl" version as a cut and sew pattern over at Spoonflower that I've entered into the current design a bag competition.) I've only been using this one for a day but already I just LOVE it. I'm going to make a zillion more.  They make great project bags and I understand people who knit socks love them as they keep their wool in while they knit. Great if knitting while commuting on a train I would imagine!
